Apar Group to set up 40 MW solar power plant in Bhuj


Apar Group is partnering with Neat Energy Inc, USA to set up a 40 MW solar power plant in Bhuj in Kutch district of Gujarat. Initially, the company will set up a 5 MW solar power plant with an investment of Rs. 600 million. Now, land acquisitions are in progress on Bhuj-Bhachau road. The first phase of 5 MW is likely to be completed in 18 months time.

Adani Power to set up 40 MW solar project in Banaskantha


Adani Power is set to diversify by venturing into solar power. It is planning to investment Rs.5000 million to set up a 40 MW solar photovoltaic plant in Banaskantha in Gujarat. It has signed a MoU with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) to set up the project. It is likely to commission the project in two years and is in the process of acquiring the photovoltaic equipment.

Electrotherm Renewables plans 40 MW solar thermal plant in Gujarat

Electrothermal Renewables – a division of Electrotherm India Ltd is planning to invest Rs.7000 to Rs.8000 million to set up a 40 MW solar thermal plant in the state. An MoU in this regard was signed during the’Vibrant Gujarat’ summit. It may be noted, around 10 such solar thermal projects in various capacities are in consideration but none has been ticked off. Currently, the company is scouting for land in Banaskantha in Gujarat.
