Bipin Engineers setting up solar equipment unit in Warve

Bipin Engineers, a manufacturer of solar equipment is setting up another facility at Warve on Pune-Bangalore highway. It will produce solar plate collectors, ETC manifolds and tanks, wind energy systems and integrated solar systems. It will have a capacity of 4000 solar collectors per month.

Maharashtra State Power Generation to set up 75 MW Solar plant in Dhule

Maharashtra State Power Generation Co is setting up a 75 MW solar power plant in Dhule in Maharashtra. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 8841 million. The was awarded the contract to Lanco Solar, a subsidiary of Lanco Infratech and Juwi Renewable consortium. The project is likely to go operational by February 2012

Birla Surya to set up solar grade silicon wafers unit in Satara

Birla Surya, a part of Yash Birla group is planning to set up a silicon wafers unit in Satara in Maharashtra with an investment of Rs. 54,000 million. It will be an integrated facility to produce multi-crystalline silicon wafers and processing of solar photovoltaic cells. The company has acquired land for the first phase where project is under implementation and is to commence operations by December 2011.
