MoserBaer to set up 1 MW solar plant at Chandrapur

MoserBaer to set up 1 MW solar plant at Chandrapur in Maharashtra with an investment of Rs. 125 million. The project to use amorphous silicon (a thin film) photo voltaic technology is one of the largest solar project with this technology sourced from SunEnergy GmbH of Germany. The power generated will be priced at Rs.15/- of which Rs.3/- will come from the state electricity utility (Mahagenco) and the balance from Central ministry of renewable energy.

Suzlon empowers wind farms with Solar power

Suzlon in order to save on emissions, has put up 20 V solar photovoltaic panels to power site office and project yard in Adawadi, Nashik. This also saves cost as these farms are in remote place using other form of power like genset, diesel are costly. The solarpanels are supplied by Tata BP Solar

Sri Panchajanya Power to set up solar power project in Maharashtra


Sri Panchajanya Power, subsidiary of  Hyderabad based Suryachakra Power has signed an agreement with Maharashtra government for a new 5 MW solar plant in Hingoli district of the state. It may be noted that the company is already setting up a 10 MW bio-mass power project at Hingoli.
