North Delhi Power ( a joint venture between Tata Power and Delhi Government ) is planning to set up 2.5 to 3.0 MW solar power
plants by using roof tops in grid sub-stations. It plans to commission the project over a period of 3-4 years. The company is also
pursuing to set up 100 MW grid interactive plant in Rajasthan. It has recently commissioned 1 MW solar power plant using 5,500
solar photo-voltaic panels made of crystalline silicon that will absorb sunlight and convert it into electricity.
