Megha Engineering to set up 2 MW solar power plant in Chandrapur STPS

Megha Engineering is to develop the 2 MW solar power project in Chandrapur Super Thermal Power Station campus, which is awarded to it by Maharashtra State Power Generation Co. The project involves design, engg, supply and erection of contract and maintenance of the unit for a period of 3 years. It will be a PV plant based on thin film technology.

Pradhan Energy Projects to set up 5 MW solar plant in Nagpur

Pradhan Energy Projects Pvt Ltd, a company promoted by a returning NRI, Ravi Pradhan is scouting for land of 25 acres in the Vidharba region. He has plans to buy directly from land owners paying the market price to gain their goodwill and also has plans to use the local human resources. It has plans to set up a 5 MW solar photo voltaic plant which may entail an investment of Rs.900 million. The company also has plans to set up 50 MW solar thermal plant.

Pune to get a 250 kw solar thermal plant

The Department of Science and Technology is investing around Rs.150 million to set up a solar thermal plant which will produce 250 kw for 10 hours during day time and bio-waste later will be set up at village of Shive, 50 kms away from Pune. It is located near international business houses of General Motors, Posco, JCB, L&T etc., The unit will become operational by mid 2011.
